DESCRIPTION:

Getting in close: in this class we will move to giocco stretto, first covering the very basic principles of Fiore's close quarter play (the four unarmed guards and how to use them), and then showing how to get into close quarters with the Longsword. Defences against a close-quarter attack will be covered, based on the four guards.

The intention behind the classes is to show the main guards and tactical principles, with enough technical practice to give the student an idea of how to use the weapon offensively and defensively, at long range and up close.
