DESCRIPTION:
In the schools of arms in the 19th century fencing masters often taught self-defense applying fencing technique to the walking stick. Based on saber technique, the students in this class will learn how to use the ordinary walking stick as a weapon of self-defense against a variety of situations, facing unarmed and armed adversaries. Students must come prepared with jackets, masks, groin protectors for men, breast protection for women and saber gloves for both hands. Ordinary wooden canes or walking sticks are recommended. A 36 by ¾ inch thick wooden dowel can be used if you do not have a cane. |
