Directions to the Hotel from the airport:

 McNamara/Northwest Terminal to Hotel

(Northwest/Continental/Lufthansa/,British Airways, KLM):

Guests with carry on luggage can walk in the direction of Gate A36 inside the McNamara Terminal. The Westin entrance is located directly across from the gate. Gate A36 is three

gates from the large fountain that is located in the center of the terminal.

Guests with luggage will need to exit plane to baggage claim and then take the elevators or escalators to domestic departure level (ticketing/check in counters). Once on that level follow signs for Domestic Ticketing/check-in/Hotel. Follow towards Northwest E-Service Center. The doors to the Westin are in silver on a wood backdrop. You will be at the valet desk once you enter the hotel and from there they will direct you to the main lobby of the hotel.

Smith Terminal to Hotel (All other airlines)  (Delta, United Air, American,etc) :

Baggage Claim in the Smith Terminal is on the lower level (arrivals).

Guests should make their way down to the lower level curb (arrivals) of the airport near either the United Airlines Baggage claim doors or the Spirit Airlines Baggage claim doors and look for a white shuttle bus that is marked in blue "Terminal-to-Terminal Shuttle" with a round Westin on the side.  It runs 24 hours every10 minutes. You must inform the driver that you need to be dropped off directly at the Westin Hotel. The shuttle will then drop you off at the main entrance of the Hotel. Our valet desk will then direct you to the main lobby of the hotel for check in.

To board the shuttle back to the Smith Terminal, you must go back up to the Hotel main entrance.  Again the shuttle bus will stop at The Westin every 10 minutes.  If you miss that bus you may then go through the McNamara terminal and down to transportation level 4. That bus will pick up passengers every 10 minutes. The Westin Valet desk will be more than happy to direct you to the correct location.

Directions to the Hotel Parking from the Interstate:

The Westin Detroit Hotel is located in the McNamara Terminal at the Detroit Metro Airport.

From Interstate 94:

Follow signs past the Smith/Berry Terminals to the McNamara Terminal

 (Northwest Airlines Terminal)

            Valet Parking:

·        Follow signs for “Departures Level” and Westin.

·        Stay to Right of roadway.

·        The Westin Hotel is at end of Terminal.

Long-Term Self-Park:

Follow signs to any of these three areas:

• Departures (Westin) Level – 1st drive way on left, just past Westin Hotel. They will be entering Level 8 of the parking structure.
• International Arrivals – Entrance at South end of structure, past loading dock. They will be entering on Level 2 of parking structure.
• Eureka Road – Follow signs for “Eureka Road.” Entrance is at North end of parking structure. They will be entering on Level 2.

From South (Eureka Road & Interstate 275)

             After the tunnel, south of McNamara Terminal, please stay to the right.

(Going to the left will take them to the other terminals).

            Follow signs for the “Departures Level” and “Westin” as noted above.

Follow the above noted directions for Long Term Self-Park and Valet.
