Some Terms and Conditions
How can I
bid? ISMAC will offer the following
bidding options:
In person: Please arrive
20-30 minutes before the auction to view the auction items.
Written Bid: If you
cannot attend the auction, you may be able to leave a written bid (at the
discretion of ISMAC). Email
Jared Kirby, for approval and then specify
your maximum bid amount on the lots of interest, and make sure it is received
by Jared no later than one week before the auction. |
| |
|
What information do you need from me to bid? You will be asked to provide your name, address, telephone number and email
address. |
| |
|
Buying
terms: The successful bidder is required to pay at
the time of a successful bid. You can
pay by cash, check or credit cards (via paypal.com). The winning bidder will take the property to
the cashier to make the payment immediately after winning (concessions will be
made for multiple item winners). |
| |
What are the
standard bidding increments? While the auctioneer may vary the increments at their discretion,
usually bidding increases in the following increments:
0-100 (by 5); 100-200 (by 10); 200-300 (by 20); 300-500 (by
20/50/80); 500-1,000 (by 50); 1,000-2,000 (by 100); 2,000-3,000 (by 200);
3,000-5,000 (by 200/500/800); 5,000-10,000 (by 500); 10,000-20,000 (by 1,000);
20,000-30,000 (by 2,000); 30,000- 50,000 (by 2,000/5,000/8,000).
This pattern may repeat continuously. At
a bidder’s discretion, a bid can be called out as long as it conforms to a
standard bidding increment. Bidding will
start at ˝ the retail value of the item. |

What is
the best way to learn about a lot that interests me? Property in our auction is sold "as is,"
and examining property in person is the best way to learn about
it. Pre-auction viewing will begin prior to the auction and provide an
opportunity to personally inspect the property. |
