This class will cover the fundamental principles that apply to Small Sword. 
 
How the manipulation of the weapon affects the system is a critical aspect of small sword, the students will be shown this through a series of drills that will cover:
 
Manner of holding the weapon
Hand positions
Guard positions
Footwork
Blade work:
Engagements
Disengagements
Parries
Opposition, offensive and defensive
Time; of the attack, of the parry, of the counter offensive actions
