DESCRIPTION:
Fiore's short section on the spear is often misunderstood, but contains all the basic and repeated elements of his fighting system. The spear is best weapon with which to practice the concept of the "scambiar da punta" (exchange of thrust) and the universal "contra contrario" to having any of your thrusts put aside.
The footwork and weapon actions are compact and limited to ensure success and improve the use of any weapon. This is the purpose of his section on the spear, and when understood the student will be able to add this important knowledge to his understanding of Fiore's art.
