DESCRIPTION:
Recent research has resulted in a re-definition of several of the important terms and principles in Fiore's art, especially those related to sword play. These re-definitions drive important new understandings of the system which will raise provocative questions regarding the understanding of all Medieval swordplay. Especially effected are the blows of the sword, the volte (stabile, meza volta and tutta volta), zogho stretto and largo, and the order and brilliance of Fiore's teaching method. |
