DESCRIPTION:
 

This class will be a "tour of the system"  Beginning with the proper formation of the guards and positions, Basics of footwork and remedies to principle attacks from all guards. We will investigate the long play and the close and how to transition between the two. Special attention will be spent of the uses of the "window" guards as the vast utility of these Posta is often not exploited.

 

This class is best suited to persons with some familiarity with the source material and an understanding of the principles of defense. Longsword experience is not required. There will be much of value to the novice and experienced longsword fencer.

 

Required equipment, Fencing mask and padded gloves Blunt steel sword ( less than 4 lbs ) or Aluminium Training sword with a simple cruciform guard (side rings are ok.. bat wings are right out ) .
