PETER KAUTZ

Pete Kautz is the Director of Alliance Martial Arts and the American Heritage Fighting Arts Association (AHFAA).

 

He is a popular writer and seminar instructor, having taught groups worldwide and appearing in a number of international publications. Pete is one of the 3 founders of the original and now famous Western Martial Arts Workshop, which is now going on its fifth year as the worlds longest running and perhaps most prestigious WMA event.
Many individuals and groups like the Chicago Swordplay Guild, the Academy of European Medieval Martial Arts, the Schola Saint George, the Art of Combat (Lansing), the Linacre School of Defense, the Young Forest Academy, the School of Two Swords, and others have utilized Pete's personal and professional insights on the martial arts to further their understanding and personal skill.


Pete works closely with James A. Keating of Combat Technologies (Comtech) and W. Hock Hochheim of the Scientific Fighting Congress (SFC) and is a respected instructor in both organizations. In 2002 the Maestros of the International Masters at Arms Federation invited Pete to become a member of their organization in recognition of his work teaching the historical 19th century American martial arts.


Pete's articles have been seen a number of international publications, including W. Hock Hochheim's "Close Quarters Combat" and the new "Knife Forums" magazine. He has also written scores of original articles for the Alliance Martial Arts and American Heritage Fighting Arts Association web sites that have drawn over 100,000 visitors so far.
