INTRODUCTION TO ACTING, a beginning acting course incorporating Alexander and Feldenkrais movement techniques, as well as Linklater vocal exercises.
ACTING II STUDIO SHAKESPEARE, A second year acting class focusing on interpretation and performance of Shakespeare. Class produces a Shakespearean studio production.
INTRODUCTION TO THEATRE, A first year course in the basics of theatre history, theory, acting, directing, design, and script analysis.
ACTING I STUDIO CONTEMPORARY, Working with another instructor, I am aiding in the direction of five contemporary one-act plays for theatre majors in their first semester of the program.
PRODUCTION PRACTICUM, study of the basic construction, lighting, sound, and scene design skills. Involves hands-on construction experience, and intern hours.
STAGE MAKE-UP, A course designed to teach basic stage make-up to students. Class involves shading, fantasy make-up, sex reversal make-up, and face casting. I have experience with 3 dimensional make-up, but that is not taught in this class.
STAGE COMBAT, Created and teach course. Combat styles include various styles of sword, Aikido and Karate hand to hand combat, as well as quarterstaves and Bowie Knife. I also teach and choreograph combat for all L.C.C. productions requiring it.
DIRECTED STUDY, this course was for a student to write a play, produce, and direct it as a semester long project. As faculty advisor, I supervised the writing and directing, and advised on production procedures.

Duties also included bringing in instructors by arranging for travel, and coordination of all classes taught at one of North America's three largest conventions of this type. Focus included historical swordfighting and martial arts, and adaptation of these principles to the stage.

Humanities and Performing Arts Department: *Scene Shop Foreman, responsible for generating cutting list, materials list, cost and labor estimation for all production designs, restocking shop, working within budget for productions. Organize priority list for building sets. Supervise work study students in daily shop work, as well as construction of all sets. Provide technical support for Music, Dance, Theatre and Media Services Department projects. Maintenance of all shop equipment, as well as classrooms and offices used by Performing Arts Department.
· In addition to the duties listed above, I voluntarily worked on grants and additional funding sources for the Performing Arts Department.
· In September 1996 I became the Technical Director. The job remained the same, major changes were working within shop and production budgets.
Michigan Theatre of Jackson, Inc.

Board Member, Board member responsible for instigating live theatre program including preparing a budget, choosing a season, scheduling productions and acquiring a production staff. Responsible for all live entertainment. Responsible for working with the community and the city government on such cultural projects as international ethnic festivals, Shakespeare in the park festival, and children's theatre. Responsible for creating a budget for and working on complete renovation of stage area, including lighting, sound, and rigging systems. Responsible for writing grants in conjunction with other board members.
Founding President of the Michigan Theatre Players, Formed Jackson's newest community theatre group, dedicated to performing classical and culturally relevant contemporary theatre. Formed board of directors in February 1995. Responsible for creating inventive outreach projects within the community. Created The Michigan Shakespeare Festival, a combination Shakespeare and Renaissance Festival, now backed by Comerica Bank, and other major local corporations.

Board Member, responsible for creating projects to aid in generating a pool of technicians that would be utilizable by Clark Lake Players for their 1996 summer season. Responsible for education projects for the community, and writing grants for said projects. Board representative for CLP's involvement in "Hello Follies", and the Jackson Shakespeare Festival. Projects under my supervision were primarily responsible for bringing CLP from owing $10,000.00 in October of 1995, to having a balance of approximately $19,000.00 in Nov. 1996.

Host/Speaker, responsible for creating conference for non-profit, professional, and educational theatre companies throughout Southern Michigan to meet, exchange ideas, hints, and address issues and problems common to all groups, such as fundraising, technical support, and marketing.
Michigan Shakespeare Festival

Founding Vice-President, creator of festival, now the summer theatre program of the University of Michigan. Progenitor, and design team member, of the only reconstruction of the Globe Theatre stage in existence in the Midwestern United States, which is used as the set for the festival productions.
Foote Hospital "Hello Follies"

Chair Underwriters Committee/ Set Committee, responsible for acquiring underwriters, sponsors, and grants for the fundraiser. "Hello Follies" is a fundraiser for the Foote Hospital Auxiliary, and local community theatre companies. Garner community support in areas of volunteer technicians, donated materials and/or services. Organize collaboration of companies to create efficient committees. Responsible for $6,000.00 grant from Jackson Community Foundation to pay the Cargill company in New York for their director and costumes.
